Shyam Patel Leads Clonal Hematopoiesis of Indeterminate Potential (CHIP) Clinic Inaugural Dinner Symposium 

On December 3, 2025, Shyam Patel, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, led the Clonal Hematopoiesis of Indeterminate Potential (CHIP) Clinic Inaugural Dinner Symposium. At the event, Drs. Patel, Matthew McGuiness, and Tim Sannes presented the biology of precursors of blood cancers, the impact of CHIP on cardiovascular disease risk, and other internal-medicine-related risks, and key translational research efforts on secondary prevention measures for CHIP. Dr. Patel serves as the program director of the CHIP Program.
